May 09, 2009 Kemaman Squid Jigging Report

Hey folks,



Greetings from Malaysia. I am happy to report that the squid season in Peninsular Malaysia's East Coast has started. Though not as happening as the previous years, I was in for a good start. Set out to Kemaman on Saturday for a tryout and yielded some encouraging results...







Squids landed by fishermen showed was a good indicator







My buddy with his first catch..







Soon after, it was my turn..







We used a piece as live bait

And landed this sailfish..







There's plenty of squids to go around..







After a day's worth of work, we sorted out our catch







Which was sealed in vacuum pouches for extra freshness...
