hit the harbour last night after dark and scored 7 for my effort but there was some asshole using a spot light and a castnet and was just going straight in front of me and every one else and throwing his net.
well I ripped it into him and told him to #UCK OFF!!! or he was going in the piss...he soon took the bolt.
come back in the morning.
went back at first light this morning and got another 14 before the phone rings to come home and cook maple flavoured pancakes...druel
not bad for a short session and with the night before catch that made 21 for the night...got to be happy with that.

Wow, sounds like a pretty eventful night. I can't stand inconsiderate fisherman like the one you dealt with. Hope the squid tasted good. Ever tried them with pancakes? lol

good - pest like that need to be taught a lesson and show some courtesy to others. i dont mind ppl using castnets as long as it doesnt interfer with me. most ppl you see around the place do show respect to ppl fishing and will stay clear of you.

I have 2 castnets but I dont do what that asshole was doing to other fishermen.

i agree, concideration seems to be a lost cause.
as for enviromental damage, that is the responsibility of the user.
don't take more than you need and return what you don't want.
as for the nets, there're great, i own 6 and use them regularly.
(allmost as addictive as squid jigs)

I went to squidding last 2 nights,I tried north mole,south mole and woodman point,but just caught a few little one.Seems most squid disappeared in last a few days.
