the life like ones work the best when the arvo sun is beating down and the squid refuse to bite anything else.



sunrise/sunset the squid bite just bout anything they can see so i just use simple jigs <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I spent some time in Hakodate, (home of squid) my wife’s family comes from there so its easy to get around. Helps to have some inside info <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />



I found online they go for the recommended retail which is not that good really. Inside the store, prices do drop, specials are every where.

These where ok as well. I bought lots of trebles from these guys, cost for chemically sharpened trebles was 2.50 ~ 3.50 pack of 8.

When are you going to japan? I will be there on the 24th Oct for 2 weeks and intend to have a uy up of new cheap good jigs and who knows may come back with a new graphite leader calamaretti.......



My wife is from Sendai so I have a few local shops I will visit and if I find any more info I will post from there. Im back on the 6th Nov.

i am still in china. i would love to go to japan one day but it won't be this trip. the closest i will get will be shanghai where i will be staying for a few days next week.



there are probably some good fishing shops in shanghai but not sure if the little lady would appreciate me taking a day out to visit shops. i did it last time when i went to hong kong and i streched her patience a little. hahaha
