The calamari run has been very good of late and continues to do so. From Portsea right through to Black Rock, each and every weed bed seems to hold calamari in good numbers. While many are your typical 200g â 800g size, larger ones are being caught by those using larger jigs. Although 2.5 size jigs work well, try a size 3.0 for the larger fish.
Popular brands including Harimitsu and Evil jigs are working well.
