Goat Island Causeway International Squidfestival 2009

Hey Squidfolks.



I had a late start last year with the whole commemorative t-shirt idea, but I think it can happen this year if we start thinking about it, early.



I had an concept of the causeway with every race and creed shoulder to shoulder, with lamps and rigs while a giant squid climbs the bridge support ready to grab everyone. Of course the ink stains on the shirts would have to be authentic and obtained through proper participation in the fishing.



Looking forward to the fun and stories once we all get out there and experience the extremes in hot and cold through the season.

Hopefully it will be more productive than last year. The year before was awesome.

Well I guess I'm not the only one that is tired of snow and can't wait for spring.

Give it another month or so and the cover comes off the boat, the fishing and squidding gear gets dusted off and my level of anticipation goes way up!



Come on everyone it's time to start thinking of an early and warm spring.

Let's come up with a design and talk it up.

I am not out to make money with this, just have some fun.

squidfishing has become something I look forward to, and it is good to hang with like minded folks.



let me know if you have any input as to design.

I want it to capture the "scene".

My original idea was the causeway with a bunch of guys squidding, outline of the hyatt, and bridge, with a giant squid reaching up to get even, with us marauders.

Anyone with the art skills to sketch this out, or something of their own creation, have at it.

Let's, also, take this discussion into the new posting I had pinned for this year, (the causeway news report) so that more people can chime in, or order shirts.

It would be fun to see them out there, sign the backs?

I am out of work, and hoping I don't "get lucky" before the season, as I am really looking forward to logging time on the causeway.
