Hi all,
For those interested,there is a squid fishing competition being held by the Brisbane Egi Club with various rounds around the greater Brisbane area.

As a matter of fact,it went extremely well.
Over 25 new members have joined up since this topic was listed here.Many have PM'd me to say they will be attending the next round of the club competition-which is great news.
Seeing as you are a member as well,why don't you try and find the time to attend the next round?
It is at Manly harbour,a place you constantly fish by all reports here.

OK gang it's on tonight.
starts at 7.00pm and ends at 11.00pm at manly harbour , meet up point is straight in front of wilsons seafood restuarant.
be at the sign on point at about 6.00pm to sign on of course and get any further imformation.
entry fee is $10.00 and there are some nice prizes up for grabs , 2 sections.
1...heaviest bag of 3 squid
2..heaviest squid for the event.

well comp night has been and gone and it was a good turn out with 12 people fishing.
only one problem reared it's ugly head that night.....some one forgot to tell the squid it was on....hahahaha...
out of the 12 people fishing only 7 squid were weighed in at the end and it was the only session I have had this YEAR that I have scored a box of donuts....thats right..you heard it hear...I score a big fat "0"
one competitor scored 3 and took out the prize for biggest bag and the prize for biggest squid....bloody ass if you ask me.
anyway thats the wrap up on the manly comp and I think the next comp is on at Viccy point so see you there.
