Quote:Squid and smelt in Puget Sound: "Squid jigging is still the best bet, and they've kind of moved out of the Elliott Bay area, and are catching them at the Redondo and Des Moines piers," said Jerry Beppu, owner of Linc's Tackle Shop in Seattle.
Squid jigging has been holding up pretty well, and Piers 86 and 62 [along the Seattle waterfront], and the Seattle Aquarium pier have been good places."
Other piers to try for squid are Seacrest, Edmonds and Bremerton piers, and Piers 86 and 62 along the downtown Seattle waterfront. Smelt jigging has been decent on the flood tide at the Cornet Bay pier on Whidbey.
