It is great to hear about the squid fishing on the East Coast. I too have always been amazed by what people say about squid fishing in the States and when you can catch squid! I was born in MA and now live in Washington. People here also do not understand the squid are here all year. Squid can also be caught during the day and not just at night. More people are being educated but most ignore what they are told. More squid for us!
Our Juicy Jigs Squid Jigs are perfect for the east coast squid. More people should try this great sport. There are many public access points out East.
Keep up the great reports.
Good points Juicy..... squid are available (generally year around), at times in the spawning mode, other times in their generaly lifestyle feeding mode..... biting jigs differently at different times....
Be sure to check out the Juicy Jigs, I "hear" they are designed to look like local baitfish!!!!! and we all know that looking like something to eat is a BIG factor for catching squid!!!! We also have lots of jigs that are "imitation baitfish styles".
This time of year on the East Coast of the USA, it's getting on Tuna Time!!!!! Catching live bait for tuna fishing. The Baited Jigs are well suited for this, as you can use pieces or whole butterfish for bait, which the squid are eating during chumming....
Good luck!!!
