i went to the fishing shop today.
they had a Tiga 5m telescopic squid gaff for about 10,000yen so around $100, but it was 50% off. they also had another brand for about 11,000yen not on sale. im sure they are not as good as the one egized mentioned,my guess is they r probably last seasons stock, but just thought i would let you know.
