Rapid Bay is open I was there a fortnight ago. The end is no longer accesible. Yes the crab net is a must. My friend had a squid hooked by a single tenticle and the net came into use.No squid would touch the baited jigs but going spazo on prawn style lures.
Colour made no difference they attacked every colour we had and we had every colour under the sun.
It was a sunny but very cold day with no wind.
