The squid are finally back along the eastern side of the bay, I caught my first in months while drifting for flathead and pinkies on Sunday. I was jigging with a soft plastic minnow when I got some odd pulls and jerks on the line. I wound up to the surface and to my delight 4 squid were competing to attack my minnow! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I sent a jig down and caught 3 of them fairly quickly, and picked up 1 much bigger squid later in the day (approx 1kg). <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> All caught on a size 2.5 shrimp hunter in brown.
