I have been reading posts on this forum going back years, and a few years back, they mentioned that Onset sometimes does ok.  If you look at the satellite photo on google maps of the west end of the canal, Onset is really close to the Mass Maritime academy.  I know its a GREAT spot for Bass, and fluke.  I live up by the intersection of 95/495 and hitting Onset is a lot quicker than heading to Falmouth or Woods Hole if I make a run after work.  I will post if I have any luck in Onset, the town pier there is pretty nice.
