Hit stoney point tonight...slight .NNW wind...alot of ink about..but no squid......threw 2 rods out....one loaded with fresh squid strips for some whitting...and one straight down for some fun....the rod straight down got me 7 yellowtail scad (5 to 7 inches long), perfect size for my baited squid jigging excersion to portsea later next week maybe..also 3 small jackets which also went back....the big rod out far had a few good hits, but only managed to land a 2 foot banjo, which I kissed and threw back <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

got there 2 hours before high tide and left 1 & 1/2 hours after tide turned...lookin forward to trying out these scad on some jigs at portsea or even off the rocks at mount martha.
