yawn yawn yawn.
There are way better egging rods available.
calamaretti rods a boring when it comes to jig action.Just remember companies make eggi rods for there particular jigs to work with maximum effect.
When you really want to get into egging like the Japanese it will blow your mind.
I have been squidding for a few years now from the stones and the results are mind boggling in squid captures.
I use an evergreen poseidon squidlaw 9ft', A breaden squid wicked game Shallow 9ft'. and a Smiths squidhearts sh78ss
reels also make a difference. hyper digigear reels a less prone to damage eg. main gear pinion gears, handles , spools get destroyed very quickly.I have destroyed. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wub.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rod:' /> a daiwa luvias in 3 months, shimano twin power 6 months, daiwa tierra 1 month.maingears handles etc.
all this from the violent jigging slamming back onto the reels.
I have gradually learned my lesson and so far so good. now dont have a problem .I am using a daiwa emereldas 2508rh colosal dual handle and a shimano stella fd 2500. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
