I used one of these for years for beach fishing (replaced my Coleman), though quite heavy it was very versatile: http://www.samalite.com/
not sure how it would work on the marina wall as the light would probably dissipate too much with the floodlight adapter though the torch beam has 2 levels of strength (one of which you could probably guide a 747 in with <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ). The emergency services and the railway use these lights as far as I know and they're located in cobham surrey so not far from you either (though I am aware that it might be a bit difficult for you to get to them at the moment if you know what I mean <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ), by the way I often meet up with Bruno to fish from our Yaks but haven't tried the marina squidding maybe this year is the year?
Its looking like its getting better day by day. With two clients we took four squid this morning, and dropped another three or four, for four hours fishing. All the action was in thirty minutes, but it took me a lot of wandering around both arms to find them. Of course, they were sitting where they were the day before yesterday, but yesterday, when I had film cameras to please, they werent there, and I was just pleased to have been able to land a couple for other guys having better luck!!!!! Murphys law, and all that!!!!
