Uk Squid Season Starts Here........ - fishyrob - 12-04-2010 With the sea conditions around Brighton marina (East Sussex, UK) having finally dropped clear yesterday, I ventured out with a couple of friends to see if there were any about. All caught on Pink TRONIX lures (www.tronixuk.com) We ended up with seven between the three of us. Plenty more tomorrow I hope. No cuttles as yet. Me with the first UK squid of the year (to the best of my knowledge) ![]() My mate Simon popping his squid cherry ![]() Old hand Dave with the biggest today ![]() Looking good for the squid comp on May 8th. Fingers crossed for clear seas. And thank you for squidfish.net. As a result of reading about squidding around the world, last night Dave went back with lights. Better lights are needed, but it did work. Trouble is, the squid attracted were all really small. Wether immature of the same species, or possibly a different species, dont know. All interesting stuff. Is there an "Off the shelf" lighting solution for squidding? Done any good with them? But I meant a transportable spot light, to illuminate the surface. Uk Squid Season Starts Here........ - rdepor - 13-04-2010 great news! for the atlantic zone! With two clients we took four squid this morning, and dropped another three or four, for four hours fishing. All the action was in thirty minutes, but it took me a lot of wandering around both arms to find them. Of course, they were sitting where they were the day before yesterday, but yesterday, when I had film cameras to please, they werent there, and I was just pleased to have been able to land a couple for other guys having better luck!!!!!
