The Southern Squid Jig Fishery Five Year Strategic Research Plan was compiled by the Southern Squid Jig Fishery Assessment Group (SquidFAG) in 2001. The Plan was ratified by the Southern Squid Jig Management Advisory Committee (SquidMAC).

It provides useful background information about the Australian Southern Squid Jig Fishery and also provides information about Arrow Squid, which is the main target species for this fishery.
