Hi Glen, the usual grass whiting, some large black and white striped fish. Definitely saw a few schools of trevaley, and I am pretty sure I saw a rockling as well. And of course big clouds of bait fish. A fair bit could not ID though.
There were a few surface bust ups about 100m off the end of the pier at times as well.
We also saw quite a few small squid just sitting outside of strike range to the bait fish. A quick swap to a 1.5 red yamishita landed 2 but I released them as they were pretty small and we were doing ok anyway.
Each time I was trying to get a line in for some fish, my mate landed a squid, and I was on net duty, awsome but frustrating at the same time.
Best session I have seen at Flinders so far.
