Abalone spots South of Flinders & Tide advice

G'day Squidas,

 

I'd like to try me hand at some spearfishing but before I do, I'd like to just some free diving practice. Heading down to Lorne and around Wye river tomorrow and then staying in rye on the Peninsula side for the weekend.

 

Can anyone suggest any Abalone spots further south from Flinders please or a few spots around Lorne area I they could. I've sifted through the forum and Im going to try Flinders out but wondering if theres some spots around Rye, Sorrento for abs.

 

 

Also can people share some advice on what tide should you be going out in and why its better?
