Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Those squid can be fickle creatures.
I'm in South East Queensland near Manly boat harbour and have been using :
An Orange Shrimphunter in size 3
A Purple / Pink Yamishita in size 2.5
Various colour " Sambo " jigs in size 2.5 that I got off Ebay.
I had to remove one of the sets of hooks and file the lead weight to get these to sink the way I wanted.
I have not been chasing squid much but usually manage 1 or 2 a trip.
It is the off season for squid up here I'm told so maybe thats it or maybe I'm just not a good fisherman.
