I like to start with the squid, maybe get a crack on some cod as I havent fished for them in yrs hint hint, then schoolies and flounder to begin the season. I am aching to go fishing and maybe some combat fishing at Newport if I have too. Dapooh April, 24-25 is a good time. But be sure we will post when to. I will be out there every day from april 21 till it hits. But be sure. I keep you informed.

I know its stocked and as I see them when I took my daugher swimming. When did you go? I also know few other stocked lakes. The one in Sharon is stocked. I actually want to get into trout fishing but havent made the jump. I am mostly a saltwater guy but am open to the idea of frestwater fishing. I also want learn crabbing and clamming!! I have a lot seafood lovers in the family. I really just go back into Saltwater fishing a few yrs ago. I must fish the south shore.

Not sure, I think I try in June or July of last year. If the weather is nice over the weekend, I may try it, rr Maybe try Whitman pond (Weymouth).

It's cheaper to go and buy at the supermarket for 10 scups than to buy dozen of sea worms, gas and time to get 10 scups ....

Thats not a typo. It was 50 last yr. I am predicting closer within a few yrs. Oh the size limit is 11" now

Ya, 10 is limit but sfoxnh your right. I drive from New Hampshire down to Woods Hole. Now I dont know if you know but 1 GAS IS NOT CHEAP!!! 2 Who Wants to fish 10 scup and go home. Now last year. They had police checking where I went. I got a fine last year for over limit. It is all for conservation (i hope.. it better be <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> ) so quit bitching and fish. private vessells can still take 50 a day (so bring more people). as for shore fishing. i doubt you get ten over 10.5 inches after spawning season.
as for fishn.. the days where it was cheaper to fish for fish than to buy fish at the market are OVER. reason being cause there were no REGULATIONS back then..
I think its always been cheaper to buy fish are the market at a lower quality if you include the labor in catching.. cost of equip.. access. fuel.. experience.. all that nonsense.
