Thanks Asiansquidder and good work!
Â
Right now the winch for my trailer is out of commish and I'm looking for a boat I can get out on, either charter or waiting to hear back from some friends.
Â
Appreciate the update.  Those areas around Hyannis and Osterville and the ones I typically target each year. Any of the big squid trawlers working in the area yet?
Â
Seems like things have or about to get started going strong until the bass show up in force and start scattering them....

Went out today, commercial draggers everywhere and a few recreation boats but no one catching much, I managed to pull one up. That was morning until evening at Colliers. Lots of boats heading out for the night bite though as I was leaving.

My trailer is out of commish while I wait for some winch parts, but I have an opportunity to fish with a friend on Friday and his boat is in Mattapoiset on Buzzards Bat.  Hyannis is too long a run from there. Does anyone know of any potential spots to try over in Buzzards or someplace reasonably close to Mattapoiset?

Fished outside Hyannis yesterday. 5-10 pm. Fishing was great until dark, and then it went quiet. Definitely seems to be a daytime bite. One interesting thing was that almost all squid were huge 12-15" tubes and a few up to 18".

went last night with two friends to hyannis harbor dock to squid. Spent about 2/hs and caught 2. There were 4-6 other people squidding near us and from what we saw no one else caught any. I also stopped over today just after high tide seeing if there were any day squid, no luck. One other guy was there also but he left after 1/2 hour and caught none.

Got two buckets in four hours today with one other guy fishing, stayed away from the fleet of boats. One other boat near us was definate,y doing better than us. This was outside Hyannis.

Was out yesterday during the day bite, caught about 100lbs. Glow and pink were the colors.
