I am happy to announce that in December 2003 we hit an all time record! Squidfish had 12,795 visitors and 235,185 hits!

I hope this will get up to around 30,000 by the end of the year!

Here is a diagram of the website traffic since we moved to the new server.

In March we had 18,789 unique visits to the site. That is an increase of about 38% over the previous month! Looks like we should get to the target of 30,000 quicker than I expected.

Here are the latest stats. It looks like the site visitation has leveled off a bit. If anyone has any ideas to boost the number of visitors please let me now. The target is 30,000 visitors per month by the end of the year.

i looked at getting a link on the ausfish site but they expect you to stick their great big logo on your own site first.

i just had a look at fishvictoria.com and they are having competitions similar to squidfish. i had no idea. i guess it looks like i copied them. or did they copy me? lol seems like they have been running them since 2003 so maybe they came first.

Fishvictoria.com have been running their monthly comps for a while now, to be eligible you just need to contribute to the site (either on the forums, submitting a fishing report, submitting a photo etc.). I don't know how they figure out who wins though (there is no raffle ticket scheme or anything like that), wish I did, I haven't won anything from that site yet!

I think that most of the fishvictoria.com prizes are supplied by the Gotone store in Niddrie (might be worth asking for sponsorship Glen?)

stickers is not a bad idea. but i would have to come up with a design first. let you know how i go!!

i was always keen to try to make some t-shirts with my own designs. i always thought it would be cool to have some surf label. but then again "squidfish" doesn't sound that appealing to the general public i guess. lol <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
