No, I've got a 23' Parker. We caught a dozen or so on the drifft before dark. After that I was anchored in the same spot all eve. I use a magnum submerable light that is a knockoff of the Hydroglow which are much more expensive and overkill. Magnums go inside three different color plastic tubes   Clear, Green and Blue. Use whatever color you prefer. They clip to a battery and a fully charged battery should last the night. Just hang it over the side and watch the squid go darting through your light.

Saw a center console type about the size you stated.  Are those lights led's   I have
the led one that looks like a flourescent light in physical size and one of those jump starter batterys lasts for 6+ hrs.

I want to try GI this morning, any updates? I just called Postman Squid, he's at GI and said that he's only caught 1 since 5:30 this am.

My Parker has a little pilot house cabin, not a center counsil. These magnum lights use halogen bulbs but it killed a battery pack in an hour whereas it was still going strong after 5 hours when hooked to a deep cycle battery. I suspect that your LEDs could easily go all night since they don't draw much. The magnum is very bright. How about the LEDs?
Tried fishing from the Narrows fishing piers in Wareham MA last night...nada.
On the way, I stopped by Padanaram bridge and briefly spoke with a guy setting up. He said it was his second try there but hasn't gotten any yet.
The led tube light is very bright but the only color I have is the green, I've had
squid wrapped around it. I have this one in the 2 ft size. Not sure I'd want to run it over with a car though but very well built. http://fishinglightsetc.com/superbrite.html  Tough for me to see never mind at night, there were a few lighted boats out there that night.

Update for GI: I arrived at 11:30 and left at 1:30 with 0 squid. During my two hours there not one squid was caught by anyone that was within my eyesight. I even went on the sub base in New London with the same results. Should have stayed home. Maybe next week!

Thinking of going with Frances fleet squid fishing on Wednesday night (7pm-1am)
Would like to fish with some members on the forum. As of now 2 ft waves or less and partially overcast. Had good time last trip with them and still had 1/2 bucket, could have done more but just relaxed.
