I broke in the new outfit today, 1156 grams. and a smaller one of about 250-300 grams.
Rod handles like a charm.
No problem...
Can do. Right. Uh-huh.
Gotcha. Cat in the furnace.

DUDE WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THAT STUFF SITTING ON THE GROUND, YOU SHOULD HAVE A SATIN RUG UNDER IT AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
gOOD JOB, GREAT RODS ARNT THEY......
what jig is that?
there is some same size ones down here at the island off the beach, seems this strong wind has pushed them into shore for us to catch....
i had a silver whiting under a float and was throwing a jig off the beach but nothing took the jig, they only like the whiting down here...
i stuck a little glow stick in the whiting when it was dark, didnt seem to make a difference.

i was extremely careful to put it down so just one runner was resting on the ground mason. i even made a velcro loop to attach to my pants so the end never touches the floor when i change jigs. it's my pride and joy.
Got smoked like a son of a bitch by a big snapper at docklands yesterday, locked drag and it was just peeling line out... straight under the pier.
game over. please insert $2.
and my tackle box with all my vibes and lures and jig heads and clips got blown in the drink. got 5 hard bodies back in a net.
No problem...

it was either a 3-4 kg snapper, which said orginally it didnt feel like.
or it was a jewie, but we were fishing in the same corner as the guy catching snapper, jules had caught two 2kg snapper already... more than likely it was a snapper. but i've never felt a snapper pull like that. my vapor can dole out some serious hurt . locked drag 4lb stren i should be able to pull in any docklands snapper. i also had my finger on the spool trying to slow it down.
Nah my smaller box with all my bream and freshwater lures is gone.
No problem...

Managed to get one 700g squid last night with the very last flick out. One bloke pulled out one of the angriest squids I've ever seen off the left hand side of the pier just where the stairs are to go to the lower level, causing everyone on the pier to shift to the smaller piers on the other side.
I didn't see much action all ngiht, and it's been the much of the same story for the last two weeks down at BYMS. I was getting rather disappointed with the action there recently, is anyone else having much luck? I think I might give Brighton a crack tonight if the weather isn't too rubbish.

hard is a understatement.
last week we had a good run at brighton but that was it.
sunday was hard as salmon took over the water where i was.
its the time of the year, in 30 days it will pick up again, i have been talking to a guru in japan, he has been showing me some stuff on surface water temps.
but put in the hours and it will pay off.

wait until i understand it 100% and so on then you will be the first to see the chart.
alt of game fish guys use them here for marlin and so on but with the rise in our water temps it all seems to be making sense.

My brand spanking kilo catching Harimitsu got grabbed by something down at beauy the other day, came up with no weed and a big tear in the cloth.
I'm calling Octopus.... no give or take in the line, classic snag. but no bent or missing hooks and a massive tear.
Either that or i had a rock and squid grabbed it while it was snagged, because it was well stuck and then it wasn't.
I'm calling Octopus still.
No problem...
