29th of August, that doesn't leave much time for people to enter? Would of thought they would have them out by now if that was the case, had herd that they were going to orgaize it after the bream round had gone, but had been told late August as well by Cockburn deli

[size="3"]Good work Echo!

There will be plenty of great prizes this year (as usual). There will be a master cheif plating up some great squid recipies plus much more.

The idea of the comp running so late was to "make anglers think about what we can fish for rather than what we can't fish for".

Well its the biggest week in Austrailian squid tournament history, the W.A Classic is on again the 26th june 2011 (round 1) all the normal rules apply and also we have the start of the National egi tournament in Hastings ,Victoria starting on the 25th june,, the next decade is going to be huge for eging,,a bit like the bream tournament scene,,the National comp is a live weighin and let them go,best of 3,,the organiser tested over 2000 squid in live wells and only 3 died so thats a great result,you just need to keep your live well pump running to clear the ink and what not,,the next round of the National comp is in South Australia so watch out for that,its $220 a team so its not for the handline and $5 jig bridgade but for the best of the best in the squid scene.

Will be an interesting year,,good luck to all those in tournaments this weekend <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thumbsup2:' />
