Squid fishing Tauranga

Hi all

 

Just started fishing for squid, got the jigs and have studied technique etc.

Have tried salsbury wharf, and the wharf just of the side of the mount. I went at night with good head lamps and one night i had some burly. It was an incoming tide both times.

Unfortunately no squid where caught.

 

Am i doing something wrong?

Wrong tide maybe?

Wrong spots? (to far inside the harbor?)

 

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
