How does everyone keep their squid fresh when fishing? I fish from shore or in a little tinny, so don't have access to areator's or the like. You can't put them in a bucket of water for obvious reasons, so that just leaves a dry bucket or esky.
I have thought about putting a soft drink bottle full of ice in, but I often go after work and forget to get it out of the freezer. Are there any other methods people use that limit the mess but still keep them fresh when they get back home or to the boat ramp?
