Hi, as i'm new to squiding, i was wondering if any people could give me their opinions on the scented powerbait squid jigs, i had a look at them in the shop the other day and they look and sound the goods, but as i am amateur squider i was hoping i could get some feedback on them before i make purchase of one,
Thank you and happy squiding

I have never used them but i have used a scent of my jigs when water is dirty.
I must say i have found no advantage in using scent for squid.
Go get yourself some slow sinking yamashita jigs.

cheers, ye i have bought a 2.5 and 3.0 yamishita, lost the 2.5 on a snag, but the 3.0 seems good, i might have to go for heavier though, as in the harbor the current seems to drag it and takes forever to reach the bottom, so im constantly having to weight it down with another sinker, next il try one of the bigger jigs with higher weight

sounds like you have a slow sinking jig, does it have two holes in sinker?
