hey all went down to aldinga on saterday in our old bessy boat got out about 9am no wind water was crystal clear.
we cruised out about 800m - 1km or shore in about 3.5m of water tide coming in i think. it was fairly small tide change like 1.1m to 1.6m or something.
stared burling up with pellets and oil down below and on on top nice slick going on within 10mins gar were froleking about lol very timid thoe couldnt hook them only managed 10 for the 2 hours.
got annoyed and frustrated so wung a pink and orange squid jig out bout 20m from boat directly out back as soon as i took up slack bang squid 7 followed it in nailed just about all of them
tried different trajectory to the horizon 6 more then cast to the shore 2 more.
went for a 3 min cruize started drifting caught another 6 more.
cruised out about 5 mins and thought try some whiting first cast hit a flathead square in the head i rekon. only 24cm thoe nice and fat.no luck with whiting thoe
ended up with 20 squid and 10 gar not a bad outing and fantastic weather
heading out this w.e same area might go out to the reef and i might drift moana report back next week i supose
