Hello everyone,
I come from Germany (Trier, the oldest town in Germany <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />)). For the last 8 years I spent a lot of time in Norway so I have good experience in sea fishing. Since I was ten years old I go fishing on rivers and lakes near Trier. In 2007 and 2009 I spent three weeks in Sydney only with one fishing trip at Batemans Bay. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I joined this forum to find some informations about fishing in the region of Canberra.
Why? â Hereâs the reason: Iâve spent a lot of time in the last months to find contacts and informations in forums for fishing around Sydney for my trip in March 2012. We wanted to visit our son Timo who is living there. But two days ago everything changed. All my searching and inspecting of the region of Sydney was for nothing, because Timo has got a new job in Canberra. So now I have to investigate a complete new region to find some informations and anglers who can give me some good advice. So I hope you can help me.
We stay in Canberra from March 24[sup]th[/sup] until April 12[sup]th[/sup]. My favourite is fishing for predatory fish (I donât like carp fishing). And if itâs possible, I want to go fishing on sea. But I think most of the time I go to the big lakes around Canberra because itâs too far to go the sea (e.g. Batemans Bay).
Do you have some good suggestions for fishing spots and tackle?
Are there some pikes or big perch (or so) in Lake Burley Griffin or Lake Grinnindera?
Feel free to show me all the spots for monsterfish. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I look forward to hear from youâ¦
Best Regards
