Melbourne newbie

Hi Guys,



I'm a Melbourne newbie(Berwick) . Wanting to know if there is anywhere in the bay you are not allowed to spear? I guess Carrum beach is about the closest to me, I have an old Rob Allen rail gun , which was found rolling around on the ocean floor (loaded) up in Queensland, and I would like to start spearing in the Bay. Got dive gear , no free diving fins . But all the basics i guess. when is the best time to go out this time of year? Sunset?



Any advice be appriciated.
