Me too,  freakin cold.  Looking at my last 2 packages of squid in the freezer.

Hope RI comes alive this year, much faster and shorter ride.

My best year was 2008, ~80 lbs pulling em in three at a time sometimes, saw one woman pull in four at a time. What a festival!

I think last year's dismal squid season was my fault. I have wanted to go squid fishing for decades. Last year, I finally got my chance. I'm just bad luck, I guess.

I'm a newbie here -- I live around Boston area. Any tips for where to fish squid, around what time, etc.?

Can't wait for the squid to come. I'm down to about 20lbs. Can't complain about last year though I caught my last squid on November 23. Landed well over 100lbs for the season, plenty to go around for myself and friends. So does anyone remember how it went after the last brutally cold winter?

I only caught 5 squids last year - FIVE that's all it. it was a pathetic year - hopefully better this year,
