is this the reason why I dont see any in botany bay or even heard of any being caught.What about the kurnell area,any around there as there is clear water there.

Squid prefer clear, clean water, rather than murky water i have found. Here in SA, when the water is murky, its time to head out to deeper water, therefore the jetties arent a great place to be.....
SA - the land of the bigger fish. The fish on the east, measure the least, but if you head west, you'll be bringing in the best!!
