South Stradbroke Island, Qld
#1
Hey Guys!

Im heading to Queensland for the first time in December this year. I am stuck as to the fishing though. Can someone point me in the right direction. We are staying at Pelican Cove (near Sth Stradbroke Island??)............there is supposed to be a fishing pontoon so that could be my starting point!

Cheers!

Nathan
SA - the land of the bigger fish. The fish on the east, measure the least, but if you head west, you'll be bringing in the best!!

Hey Willy

I went to a conference on Sth Straddie a few years ago, unfortunately I didn't get to go fishing, but all I saw the whole time I was there was bream, bream, bream swimming around the piers, rock walls and estuaries everywhere, big ones too. They get them in the estuaries and off the surf. If you get a chance to go on a charter I think they get some big flatties as well at times.

Dont forget the flatties <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' /> Theres supposed to be heaps there.

Im guessing youre not that far up North so theres probably heaps and heaps of really clear water in the nice looking esturies/lagoons.
