I will like to find out ways in which we can keep squid fresh as long as possible.
Here in Singapore, Malaysia we keep it fresh by not allowing the squid to touch fresh water.
We usually wrap the squid individually with a newspaper and freeze it. That way the squid luminous body
is preserve and does not turn white. We can keep it frozen for months and the it does not turn white.
This is how we keep squid fresh for fish baits.
Let me know of any other methods that you guys use.
