Jumbo Squid Invasion
#1
I found an interesting article in the MercoPress - Uruguay

It has been found that an unusually high numbers of jumbo squid in Chilean waters has caused the distancing of jack mackerel and hake away from the fishing grounds, as well as the reduction of sardine and anchoveta stocks.

Local fisherman are hoping to harvest the jumbo squid which should provide additional income and also reduce the depletion of fish stocks.

SA - the land of the bigger fish. The fish on the east, measure the least, but if you head west, you'll be bringing in the best!!
