Kitsap Peninsula, WA

Hi All, I'm new to the site and new to squid fishing. In fact I've never puposely caught a squid before. I have however purposely ate lots of'em and used some for bait too.

I'm relocating to the north Kitsap peninsula in mid October. Since I love to fish and love to eat squid I thought I'd try to touch base with some folks who have knowledge of the fishing up in that part of the country.

So if there are still any of the Washington folks that still keep track of this site, drop me a note.

Hi Sailor and welcome to the site,

To start off, you might like to read "The Tantalizing Squid" which is a publication put out by the local fish and game dept -

It has some info about where, how and when to fish for squid in your area.

All the best, Glen <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />

Hello: Welcome to Kitsap County. The squid fishing is great. Some places to check out would be teh ferry bterminal, Brownsville, Waterman pier, and over in Seattle. Kingston has also been good but I'm not sure about the squid fishing since they added teh passager boats. Any pier or dock with a light will work. You can even go out on a boat. I just got a report yesterday of massive sightings of squid. They said 10,000 of thousands. It should only get better.

Good Luck and Happy Squid Fishing
