hey guys, im back!!! sounds like a great idea!!! you would definately count me in. although people with guns would definately own us sling people so i think it should be made slings only ( or make handicaps? ) 1 more thing, if there are people watching (judges) then all my secrets spots ive worked so hard to find will be revealed. we could have a certain amount of point for different species of fish... eg.6 points=anything over 50cm, 5 points=snapper or any fish over 45cm, 4 points=Bream,Whiting or any fish over 35cm, 3 points=Salmon or any fish over 30cm, 2 points=Flounder and flathead, 1 point=leatherjacket. (leatherjacket are easiest to spear)

you could also have a $5 entry fee and say the winner takes all. (or have the prizes donated)

anyway just some ideas to play around with.

thanks,

pj

Good to see you back. Would i be right in suggesting that most guys who spear the melbourne coastal region use hand spears? $5 entry would be good, winner takes all, Should it be in pairs? Your point system sounds great. You might have to use some stregedies so people dont see your secret spots! But all in all it should be fun.

yeah most guys use slings, but one of my m8s has spearguns and he refuses to use a sling.

i could probly get 5 or 6 spearos come along. depending on what day its on. the weather isnt gonna be warm anytime soon by the looks of it, but that just means we have a lot of time to plan <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' /> .

we should write a rulebook in that time.
