Dosidicus Gigas Fishing?

hi , This is my first post. I am from chile , and we are plagged by Dodiscus Gigas. They are damaging our ecology here and also the economy , of some places.



I want to encourage people to fish this squid.



I had some experiences when I didin't know you could actually fish em.



When trolling for other species they often got hooked on our rapalas, but the hooks couldn't catch em , or they simply cut the lines of inexperienced anglers.



Could you guys help me to find a method to fish this squid??



I don't even know the average sizes of this specie

I think It does help ,



So the biggest one caught in mexico was like 86 cm long ,



Do you have any experience on what kind of fishing equipment should I use for that kind of beast fishing ?

i presume you can use the same gear as for the humboldt squid fishery.

I have been recently been getting some interest from Chile from some tackle shops. They are generally quite easy to catch. You need big squid jigs.



Here are some new ones that we are marketing. We have some others in the design phase as well.
