#1
This is a very popular fish here, around the Connecticut Shorelines, USA...

It is commonly called by two different names...."FLUKE" aka " Summer Flounder "

That's me on the right, holding a nice 6 pounder, caught last summer..

And yes, they are by far, one of my favorite eating fish....Very delicious. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

[quote name='patti' post='8364' date='Apr 1 2007, 04:16 AM']Hello,

This is my biggest bass 49"long, 38 pounds, 12ounces. It was right after spawning so she was skinny. There are plenty of others fish pictures of many fishermen from the Cape May, NJ area if you care to look.

Thats a very nice striper Patti.....I see from the picture what you meen by her being a bit skinny....If she was full, she would have gone well over 40 lbs.....Nice catch.

Are you also into fishing for Squid?.....

Nice to have you on the site.

<img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> I'm into fishing for anything! Not many people in this area fish for squid except the tuna fishermen go for them when they are out. Nothing like a live squid for bait for a tuna. Not only tuna though as everything loves squid. I've found squid remains in almost all species of local fish that I've cleaned. I do fish cleaning as a side-line from my regular job, so I do get to see a lot of fish.

I have caught a couple by accident when they took my baited hook bottom fishing.

I would love to catch one of those big ones!
I'd rather be fishing!

This is my wife with a 3 lb. Black Sea Bass caught on a squid strip tipped Bucktail Jig last July. Can't wait to get back at 'em this summer! Hopefully using locally caught squid for bait.
