It is interesting to note the progression over the years : 'Useful Cuttlefishes and Squids of the World', 1975, in Japanese only, 60 species; 'Useful and Latent Cuttlefish and Squids of the World', 1980, 86 species; 'Cuttlefish and Squids of the World in Color', 1995, 220 species. The emphasis of this volume is to provide ready identification and is very well illustrated. Text in Japanese and English.
