Good thread... I too wonder if there is a squid session for Vic???

I have never really tried targeting squid, they are always a by-catch of us Bottom Bouncing, but we always keep a light rod with box of jigs handy.

In saying that, there does seem to be a particular time/session when all the Squid Boats are working out wide of where i live, nothing to see 6 to 12 boats fully lit up on the horizon.

Unfortunitly, i can't remember when that time of year is??? Prolly about the same time as Snapper session i guess... we seem to come across huge patches of squid when Snapper session is on.

Catching them mostly mid water, but also often at the bottom (40m plus) and also on the surface.
