Squid In Italy

Howdy all!

I'm in Italy studying for a semester, and I'm getting itchy to fish. I was just wondering if there are any good squid areas around where I am (Teramo). The Adriatic is a 45 minute train ride to the East, while the Mediterranean is a 2 hour bus ride. As I'm from Nebraska originally, this would also be my first squid excursion, but it has always facinated me. I've spotted some squid jigs in the stores, and if I can figure out where to go, I'll be ready to enter the fray! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />

if the fish shop is selling jigs that is a pretty good sign you are in squidding area!!! the quickest option would be to ask to the guy who is selling the squid jigs i guess. hopefully someone on the forum can help too.

i'm italian and i gotta admit that november is one of the greatest seasons and especially in the south of italy. if you had time you shouldve also gone to the french riviera during that season because i go there nearly every week especially in november and its full of squid there
