Hey guys,
I went to Kilcunda today for some surf fishing. It was completely dead. Not even a nibble. There was about 10 people there and no one got anything <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
Cheers, Glen

We went to Williamson's Beach on Sunday (just near Kilcunda).
I caught about 5 keeper sized salmon (around 25 cm) and 2 mullet of a similar size. My uncle got 2 keeper salmon as well as a quite a few tiddlers. My cousin had no luck but we let him reel in a few tiddlers for kicks! hahaha
We were using those "fake" pippies for bait. They look like normal pippies but have a black mark at the "hinge" of the shell. Seem to work fine and that is the only pippie/clam I can get my hands on these days.
Cheers, Glen

G'day glen
Is Williamsons beach at the entrance near Powlett River?
I have an unbelievable story from that place...day after boxing day..... huge schools of salmon.

hi andee, that is a different spot. i quite like the mouth of the powlett river. it often has lots of mullet and once i caught a nice salmon there too (just the one unfortunately). bit of a long walk but certainly a nice spot.
the williamson's beach is easy enough to find, turn right onto the dirt road when you get to the toyota dealer. then there is another intersection and you keep to the right again from memory.
cheers, glen
