Im importing and wholesaling, so anyone who has a tackle shop should contact me. Otherwise Im only selling to tackle shop who then will onsell it to the public. Atm its available at Tackle Shack in Malaga and Oceanside Tackle & Marine in O'Connor. They'll be more shop selling them soon as I'll be doing the rounds tomorrow.

Pardon my ignorance but how does a squid rod differ from any other rod?
I love catching squid and I really love calamari but I cannot see how a dedicated rod will be any better at catching than any other rod.
Please enlighten me. Prove it and I'll buy one.
Regards
Neil

They are generally longer 8ft and longer. Also has a slower, more parabolic action when loaded but allows you to work the squid jig easier with a longer rod and especially when your jig is more than 50m out.

I use an 8 foot snapper rod for squid fishing in the daytime but use a shorter and lighter rod at night as the squid are right at your feet.
the longer rod is all about absorbing the lunges from the squid jetting away along with a super light drag...more like stuff all drag.
r u 1 2 mug
make squid your friend...then bag them

i use a majorcraft raycal and yeah the difference between using a normal bream stick is a huge difference. if your really into egiing then its deff worth investing in a dedicated rod. reel wise id get something that has a finesse drag, any of the 2004,2506 range in daiwa and anything that has a shallow spool like shimano c2000s etc will be good.
