We've got a flounder gigging light that we think is a heck of a lot better than carting around a cooler full of car battery. Out of interest wouldnt you have to watch out for crocs floundering in aussie?
those led lights pictured are crap! I've been floundering for quite a few years and started using a halogen light pole with a motorcycle battery, which wasnt bad until it broke. My fishing buddy used an led pole like you showed which he broke and had replaced a few times, i never thought much of the led ones not much power and the light is narrow. With floundering the better your light the more you will catch, by far the best light i've used is a kerosene lantern which is what they used 50years+ ago. Be interested to know how big you get them in aussie, i speared a 42cm one the other day.
