hi Glen,
This trip is on 20 July2006. The season for these green eye squid will be from July till Sept where they will float the whole sea!!
In Singapore, not many areas are suitable for squid fishing, Labrador Park, Harbour Front, Sentosa Island are the common spots, Punggol Jetty is one place where not much people try, very promising....

Hi Nicholas,
As my experience, normally after rained and during the time when the water was not clear, it was the most difficult time to get a squid. Oppositely, when the weather is nice and the water is clear, then it was a perfect time to having meeting with squid.

Hi Everyone,
Last nite i've tried to squid jigging in Labrador park, but finally i was shocked about the jetty will be close at 8pm and i arrived there at 8pm+. So what i've planed before this is totally been destroyed! No choice, i just can try to jigging near the jetty, but it's still quit far away. From my experience, jigging on the jetty will be easier to get squid than the other place, but jetty been locked. So what i feel is, labrador park was only suit to fishing but not squid jigging during nite time.Anyway, i'll still arrange another time and go there with all fishing equipment which means not only squid jigging parts.
tried jigging for squid at labrador park last weekend near the toilet, 3 hours not a single squid. may i know which part of labrador you caught your lovely squid at night? - Davidphan
