Quiet night on the Peninsula for Rob and I last night.

We went to Sorrento. Nothing. Portsea, Nothing. Blairgowrie for one small squid then came home..

Had a mate fishing at Mornington as well, and caught 7 squid, a couple of them were a pretty good size he said!

Thanks Luxy. I tried Mornington pier about a week ago but I picked the worst day of the year with the wind howling and the water brown as mud. I only lasted 10 minutes and headed straight home! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />

bottom end of the bay has been fishing poorly for the last month, week before we fished in the big storm 40+ knots

fished until the power went off to the jetty lights. managed 5 for the night between us but other than that its been really slowwwwwww

whenever we did get a lonely squid it was on the blue 1.8 yamashita again,

i think it is my new favourite jig

but i might hang the jigs up for a week and go chased something big off the beach in westernport next week.

I hear Flinders is starting to produce but i dont know if i can be bothered with the baited jigs and nets ect..

take it easy
