had a look again this morning <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' />

southerly was up early and the water was a bit murky from the recent rains

went 2 from 4 in 1 hour on the run in tide <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' />

both were a reasonable size of 23 cm

storms came accross at the change of tide and i couldn't be bothered getting drenched.

there's always a next time, and the next time, and the next, and ....... <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rod:' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' />

sure does

funny thing though, there was another boat chasing squid on sunday morning

i was fishing an area working my way towards them, within 30ft of me they packed up and moved off

i continued on to the area where they were fishing......

got 1 and dropped 1 straight away

ha..ha..ha..

goes to show that they can be just as fussy over there.

p.s. was working a chinese jig i got from comking

I fished mud saturday morning and the bite was hard and fast , lasted for about 30 minutes , got 2 legal snapper and then the big sea toads woke up and started biting off rigs left right and centre.

3 lines out and all 3 got snipped off by the bastards.

Bad luck! Toadfish must have been sharpening their teeth!

these big sea toads can take off your finger if you stick it in thier mouth , they have huge hard teeth like a parrot fish/squid if you get my drift and can bite through whiting hooks with ease.

just a big pain in the ass when your fishing and they move in on your act.
